The
21st Michigan Volunteer Infantry Company H, Inc.,
based in and around the metro Detroit, Michigan area, is a
Federally tax exempt nonprofit corporation organized exclusively
for the purpose of preserving the history of the Civil War
era (1861-1865). Annually we participate in many activities
designed to foster increased public awareness of the Civil
War era. Our members participate in public discussions
and demonstrations of living history, Civil War battle reenactments,
military drills, parades, memorials, ceremonies and other
related public portrayals of historically accurate Civil War
era military and civilian lifestyles and activities.
Throughout this website you will find information about the
historical 21st Michigan. The 21st was formed in Ionia, Michigan
and entered Federal Service in the fall of 1862. If you have
any additional information or are searching for information
about the historic 21st Michigan, let us know.
This website also provides our members and the public with
information about upcoming Civil War reenactments and living
history events. Please check back often as this site is always
changing.
